The CELLSEARCH CTC Kit is intended for the immunomagnetic selection, identification, and enumeration of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of epithelial origin in whole blood. The kit contains a ferrofluid-based reagent to capture EpCAM-positive cells from blood and immunofluorescent staining reagents for the identification and enumeration of circulating epithelial cells. Anti-CK-PE is specific for the intracellular protein cytokeratin (specific for epithelial cells), DAPI stains the cell nucleus, and anti-CD45-APC is specific for leukocytes The kit is used in conjunction with the CELLSEARCH Circulating Tumor Cell Control Kit.
