Description

Universal Attachment is designet to synthesize the most effective state of the art structural element for compensation of forces occuring in all three dimensions in the oral region. Due to the rigid attachment of dentures to the residual teeth, chewing pressure is vertically transferred to the tooth axisthrough the bar stub of the primary part. The conical attachment part mostly combines with the transverse force distributor to compensate for horizontal forces. The passive holding element, the lock, fixes the denture in its posotion, with no negative friction acting on the periodontal ligament of the pillar crowns. The MK 1 Attachment is very flexible to modify in processing, and it can be individually adapted to the particular dental ir gigival situation. Thanks to these prerequisites combined with the choise of material (CoCr alloy or titanium), the requirements of periodontal hygiene, esthetics and functio are fulfilled by means of orthodox medicine. Because due to structural conditions there are no parts subject to wear and tear. Contrary to other attachment an activation is unnecessary. The tailored design makes it easy to change every basic element even in the indicated condition. This system´s operational simplicity is particularly evident in the patient´s handling of the opening or closing mechanism. The breadth of applications ranges from treatment of switching gaps with smallest denture parts and the unilateral and bilateral free-end situation to the possibility of indications with single teeth and root caps.
