The HFO system uses a stronger mean airway pressure control that can work at a range of up to 40 cm H2O and works with respiratory care controls in mind while using a stroke volume at units of 0.2mL on average. This can also be used with frequencies ranging from 5 to 17 Hz to make it all easy to operate with. This uses a piston-type design that keeps air trapping from being a problem as it will keep the volume of air and energy at a consistent rate. This uses a setup that creates less strain on the lungs and also uses an easy to remove setup to make it easier for the system to be cleaned out as needed.
