Description

The FeNo+ is device for the measurement of exhaled Nitric Oxide (NO ppb), the instrument has multiple flow setting, the sample is collected after a washout volume in sample bag that is in a re-circulation analysis circuit. Endogenous Nitric Oxide is produced when there is inflammation in the airways, the bronchial test performed at 50 ml/s is indictive of this inflammation. The additional flows on 100ml/s and 150 ml/s expands to Alveolar Nitric oxide measurements with discreate samples at different lung volumes. With a nasal catheter the device further extends to Nasal inflammation, this uses a dual function with the subject breathing through a flow restrictor at 350ml/s to maintain the Velum is closed whilst the nasal bung then enables sampling from a closed nasal cavity. The use if Nitric Oxide measurement is widely used in early detection and management of Asthma also has proved essential in the assessment of Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD). The FeNO + also allows the ability to include a Spirometry option for more traditional methods of following the medication applied to Asthma management and COPD subjects. The FeNO+ can be combined with the following devices: Micro 5000 spirometer Micro 6000 spirometer BodyBox plethysmograph HypAir pulmonary function testing system SpiroAir volumetric pulmonary function testing system Ergocard CPX exercise testing system FeNObreath portable exhaled nitric oxide testing monitor Resmon Pro V3 forced oscillation technique
