MGI’s ZSM, powered by BGI’s years of experience in bio-sample management, is a sample management platform that features standardization, intelligence, automation, visualization, modules and security. ZSM has been widely used in national biobanks, national R&D institutions, tertiary hospitals and CDCs in China to successfully manage tens of millions of samples. ZSM can serve in sample information collection, biobank management, cohort study, and more. We can provide solid service support for customers in the planning, construction, operation and expansion of their biobanks. Features Regulated management of physical samples Our practice of building and operating large sample centers in multiple sites according to relevant standards and regulations can help to ensure biobanks follow ISO 20387 and GB/T 37864-2019 standards. Automated check-in/check-out of samples Automated storage devices and plate scanners can be connected to the system to enable automated check-in and check-out of samples in one click. Visualized operation of inventory The capacity of each storage site can be planned and traced to help control the storage of inventory, the use of samples, and the movement of samples. Digitalized management of sample R&D Barcodes are used for recognition to trace the change history of samples. The properties of sample metadata are scalable for search and relational query. Varied scalable interfaces support connection to sample-related testing systems, lab systems and R&D databases.
