Designed to conform and stay on Mepilex® Border Flex has greater conformability compared to other bordered foam dressings tested due to unique Flex Technology . A dressing that moves with the patient and stays on even in the shower . Smart exudate management The 5-layer dressing absorbs, channels and traps exudate and allows you to track exudate progress . Keeping exudate away from the wound bed, and preventing re-entry, even under compression . It has up to 2.2 times greater exudate handling compared to other tested bordered foam dressing and can handle both normal and viscous exudate .Reduced pain and damage Our proven Safetac® technology means less pain and damage during dressing changes, and reduced risk of maceration than traditional (adhesive) dressings . Mepilex Border Flex is designed for a wide range of exuding wounds such as pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, traumatic wounds (e.g. skin tears) and surgical wounds. Mepilex Border Flex can also be used on dry/necrotic wounds in combination with gels. Mepilex Border Flex reduces postoperative blistering, and may also be used as part of a prophylactic therapy to help prevent skin damage, e.g. pressure ulcers.
