Extra flexible active self-warming blanket to help prevent hypothermia in the peri-operative setting BARRIER® EasyWarm®+ is a single-use active self-warming blanket that can be used before during and after surgery to help prevent inadvertent peri-operative hypothermia . It can be separated into two pieces for upper and lower body coverage. This innovative design makes it suitable for many different surgical patient positions. BARRIER EasyWarm+ is easy to use, doesn’t require any additional equipment to work, and is completely noiseless. The blanket’s twelve warming pads are immediately activated as soon as it is removed from its packaging and exposed to air. The blanket reaches operational temperature within 30 minutes and maintains its temperature for up to 10 hours. Pre-warming the patient using BARRIER EasyWarm+ for approximately 30 minutes prior to surgery reduces the initial core body temperature drop usually experienced with the induction of anaesthesia .
