Eliminates mycoplasma contamination from cell cultures
Broad spectrum activity
Effective at low concentration
Proven low in cytotoxicity
Mycoplasma Removal Agent (MRA) is a highly effective solution for the serious problem of mycoplasma contamination in cell cultures. MRA is a derivative of the quinoline family of antibiotics and eliminates mycoplasma infection by inhibiting mycoplasma DNA gyrase. MRA is supplied as a ready-to-use solution and each vial can decontaminate up to 25 cell cultures. MRA has been cited by the European Collection of Animal Cell Cultures (Porton Down, U.K.) as being superior to all other current products for the eradication of mycoplasma. Cell toxicity is low following treatment at the recommended concentration of 0.5 µg/mL, as is regrowth of mycoplasma after cellular transfer.
Eliminate multiple mycoplasma species within one week using the lowest dosage
Prevent recontamination of the culture at 0.1 µg/mL
Maintain cell viability
Compatible with most mammalian cell lines
Sterility and low cytotoxicity
Cited and recognized in 550+ scientific publications
Application Notes
Mycoplasma Removal Agent (MRA) eliminates mycoplasma contamination from cell cultures. The cytotoxicity of MRA is low and cell toxicity is rare when used at the recommended concentration. For specific function of any cell it is recommended that the retention of desired cellular characteristics be confirmed after treatment.
