The one dedicated non-valved lumen is designed for precise CVP monitoring. The short reverse taper is designed to minimize blood loss at the insertion site. The large, inner lumen diameter is designed to maximize flow rates and minimize the risk of occlusions. The Xcela Hybrid PICC comes with an advanced polyurethane material which provides alcohol resistance for insertion site, care, and maintenance.
