STEDYCON allows imaging to nanoscopic scales with over 6x higher lateral resolution compared to a widefield microscope, using direct imaging without the need for reconstruction or post-processing.
Achieve XY resolution better than 40nm using the same familiar labelling protocols used for epifluorescence and confocal imaging.
Key Features
Compact System with <40nm resolution
Expand the capabilities of imaging with a dedicated STED instrument, or add STED capability to an existing microscope imaging system such as a spinning disk or point scanning confocal with plug-and-play ease, extreme stability, and acquire images with better than 40 nm lateral resolution.
The lasers of the STEDYCON are aligned by design by a patented easySTED optical arrangement, making the instrument always imaging-ready; no calibration routines are required.
2 Color STED Imaging
STEDYCON supports imaging in up to 4 confocal channels and 2 STED channels, in multidimensional acquisition (X,Y,Z and timelapse).
When combined with NIS-Elements: denoising, deconvolution, 2D and 3D analysis, tracking, and more are possible.
DynamicPLUS
DynamicPLUS feature offers unrivaled performance with both STED and confocal applications. The avalanche photo detectors (APDs) have a superior quantum efficiency of up to 69% (@ 650nm). This means that even when signal-levels are low, APDs still collect plenty of photons for a meaningful image.
STED imaging and experiments with low labeling densities designed to stay close to physiological conditions are typical. At the same time, the dead-time compensation of DynamicPLUS allows crisp images of high-signal samples, such as bright confocal images.
