Nipro’s Surefuser™+ is a lightweight, single-use device for the safe delivery of chemotherapy treatments and other drugs administered intravenously. Thanks to a closed system with built-in safety features, patients can wear Surefuser+ in the comfort of home – an important factor in improving quality of life during treatment. How-to-use Open the packaging in a sterile environment and remove the white paper tape from the infusion line. Close the white Robert clamp located on the infusion line. Prepare a luer lock syringe with diluent solution kvithout drugl. Makesureto remove air bubbles. Remove the blue port cap and retain it for later use. Connect the syringe containing the diluent to the filling port. Place the plunger on a fiat solid surface and use both hands to grip the syringe barrel securely. Press down slowly. When the syringe is empty, disconnect it from the filling port. Open the white Robert clamp. Hold the infusion line filter so that the direction of the arrowis facing up. The diluent solution will flowthrough the infusion line. Observe a drop of liquid at the end of infusion line. The priming is complete. Close the Robert clamp. Close the end of the infusion line with the blue occlusive cap (packaged separately). Prepare syringes with the drug solution. Make sure to remove air bubbles. Fill the pump with medication accordmg to the prescription. Repeat filling untilthe balloon reaches the correct volume. Use the same technique as during priming. Close the filling port with the blue port cap. Surefuser* is now filled with médication and ready to be connected to the patient.
