Barnhart - Barnhart curettes have universal blades that have sharp cutting edges on both sides of the blade and a rounded toe. The terminal shanks of Barnhart curettes are long and slender.
Langer - Langer curettes have shank angles like Gracey curettes. The blades are universal so they have sharp cutting edges on both sides of the blade with a rounded toe and are set at a 90° angle to the terminal shank.
Debridement - Debridement curettes are intended to be used in conjunction with an ultrasonic scaler to remove residual deposits and to smooth the root surface.
