Reduce Contamination, Eliminate Air
The usage of in-line filters has been proven to significantly reduce particulate contamination and eliminate air during infusion. Filters can be a cost-effective tool in modern IV therapy and several studies have shown they can be very effective in critically ill patients.1 To improve patient outcomes, in-line filters help eliminate bacterial and endotoxic exposure and remove foreign material.
NP Medical developed the Microvex filter as a sterilizing-grade, 0.2µm filter for small volume IV applications with low priming and hold-up volume. Developed and built with the same high-quality standards as our leading valve solutions, the Microvex filter is easy to attach and ideal for alternative site infusion, low-volume chemotherapeutics, or antibiotic infusion.
