The ex-tumor Ureteral stent is used to divert urine from the kidney to the bladder as a palliative measure in inoperable tumors of the urinary tract or adjacent areas. This results in the following requirements for the tumor splint: it must be able to withstand the pressure of the tumor as well as provide a high level of patient comfort. To meet these requirements, we have chosen a clever concept: A soft polyurethane on the outside, which gains strength in the socket through an inner tube made of polyimide. The connection of the different materials does not require any adhesive. The soft pigtails ensure a high level of patient comfort.
