The sinus-SuperFlex-DS stent is a self-expanding nitinol stent. It has an open-cell design that offers increased flexibility. There are 3 tantalum markers at each end of the stent for improved radiopacity.
The application device is compatible with a 4 French (F) introducer sheath. It is available in lengths of 85 cm. It is an over-the-wire pull-back system and is compatible with a .018″ guide wire.
A special feature of the stent is its unique indication. The sinus-SuperFlex-DS was specially developed for keeping the ductus arteriosus botalli open in the case of hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) or pulmonary atresia.
