Titanium Elastic Pin is an intramedullary nail system designed to meet the need for flexible, compressible and durable implants with different diameter and length options in cases where the bone medulla canal is narrow for fixation of diaphyseal fractures.
Features
It offers application options with antegrade and retrograde techniques, suitable for minimally invasive surgical approach.
During the application, both TEPs can be applied monolaterally or one medial and the other lateral.
In cases where the AWL is not preferred to be used for the preparation of the entrance, an alternative set design that allows the use of drills, is available.
Indications
Although it varies according to the patient’s age, fracture site and fracture type, it is mainly used in the treatment of diaphyseal and metaphyseal fractures in children.
It can be used in children from 3 to 15 years of age with TEP intramedullary nailing system in upper and lower extremity long bones (transverse oblique short spiral diaphyseal fractures and metaphyseal fractures).
It can be used for the detection of metaphyseal and diaphyseal fractures of the humerus and forearm in adults.
