The Bed Step is designed to help patients get into and out of bed. This is helpful when the bed will not go down low enough. This may be due to the design of the bed, particularly if an overlay pressure mattress is fitted to the bed, making it higher. By using the Bed Step it makes the person able to get in and out of bed more easily. This is because it allows their bottom to go nearer to the middle of the bed. Two heights of Steps are available: Bed Step – One Step (10cm / 4″) Bed Step – Two Steps (20cm / 8″) Both Bed Steps have wipeable medical grade, heat sealed vinyl covers. They have Non-Slip Material on the bottom to help prevent them from moving.
