PENTAX Medical SCOPEPILOT™ Navigation Control Unit is the next generation Navigation system technology by PENTAX Medical designed to provide a true 3D live representation of the colonoscope shape and position inside the patient's bowel tract.
Features
Navigation is Difficult in Colonoscopy
Cecal intubation is the critical first part of a successful colonoscopy.
But there are three major issues making navigation to the cecum complicated:
1.Orientation
Knowing the endoscope’s location and direction within the colon is crucial.
2.Looping
Loop formation can be painful for non-sedated patients and time-consuming for clinicians.
3.Transmission
Especially, when loops are formed, push and torque transmission to the endoscope tip are impaired.
Advanced Orientation
SCOPEPILOT features different functions to provide the highest quality standards in colonoscopy and training.
Image rotation: On horizontal and vertical axis for an improved differentiation of the insertion tube.
Split screen: Allows simultaneous viewing of the anterior and superior positions.
Zoom‑in and zoom-out: Functionality for improved loops evaluation.
External position sensor (EPS): Helps to correctly apply abdominal pressure to support the intubation.
