Cure-Aid® corn plaster with Salicylic acid is a medicated plaster for removal of corns. The plaster contains 40% Salicylic acid localized and targeting the corn area, without affecting the surrounding tissue.
Features
Central Pad allows targeted Keratolytic action, protecting surrounding healthy skin.
The cushioning PE foam ring provides immediate relief of the pressure on the corn, and thus immediate pain relief.
Flexible and Conformable allowing easy application around the toe.
The long strip prevents plaster from slipping during the wearing time.
Mode of action of salicylic acid
Upon contact with skin, moisture aids release of salicylic acid from the rubbery matrix. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid. Its Keratolytic effect increases the cell-shedding rate of the
epidermis. Salicylic acid removes corns by loosening the skin and breaking up the skin cells that form the corn. This makes the corns considerably softer and easier to be removed with a file. This results in less friction and skin irritation.
