At the end of 2019, PINGSENG launched one small animal PET/CT equipment with the highest resolution in the world, and with full intellectual property rights. Advanced SiPM digital technology is adopted in this product with excellent spatial resolution and system sensitivity. By use of in-vivo functional and anatomical imaging on mice, rats, rabbits, and other small to mid-size animals, one can acquire data and derive information revealing animal's metabolism and pharmaceutical bio-distribution, which can provide advanced technical support for research in the fields of oncology, neurology, cardiovascular disease, genetics, and pre-clinical drug development. Because of the excellent performance, Mira® enhances the research on the fine structure of small animal PET in rodents, especially mice brain, and can meet the high resolution demand in some research. By new detection technique, it can achieve higher spatial resolution than conventional PMT detectors, and significantly improves the image quality of the PET.
