The Facet Screw System is intended to stabilize the spine, by trans-facet fixation, as an aid to fusion. The system is composed of Facet Screws in two diameter sizes and six lengths. The implant and associated instruments are designed to provide stabilization to the spine with minimal invasion, and offers and alternative to pedicle screw fixation. The Facet Screw System is indicated for posterior surgical treatment with or without bone graft and can be used for single or multiple levels from L1 to S1 (inclusive) for spondylolisthesis, spondilolysis, pseudarthrosis or failed previous fusion which is symptomatic, degenerative disc disease and/or degenerative disease of the facets with instability.
System features:
Facet Screws have a self-tapping flute feature at the distal end.
The two differing threads along the length of the screw vary in aggressiveness and pitch to prevent slippage.
Screws are color coded based on diameter size for easy recognition
Screws and instruments are designed to provide stabilization with minimal invasion
All components of the Facet Screw system are made of medical grade titanium or titanium alloy and are supplied 'non-sterile'.
Sizing:
The Screw sizes are in 4.5mm and 5.0mm diameter thread. Each size is available in 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, and 50mm in length.
Two Screw types are provided: cannulated and non-cannulated. Each type is also available in 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm, and 50mm lengths.
