The OP96U is a round bottom 96-well multiplate with an oxygen sensor integrated on the bottom of each well. The plate is made of polystyrene. The sensors can be read out in parallel from the bottom side using a commercially available fluorescence reader.

APPLICATIONS
Enzyme Kinetics Measurement
The OxoPlate OP96U can be used to determine enzyme activities. In this example kinetics of glucose oxidase (GOD) with different activities (0.05, 0.02, 0.01 and 0.05 U/mL) is shown. The OxoPlate filled with glucose solution and catalase (to avoid destruction of glucose oxidase by formed hydrogen peroxide) was incubated in the reader before the enzyme was added. Praffine oil was put into each well to reduce oxygen ingress. The oxygen measurement results show clearly the different dynamic equilibria of oxygen consumption and oxygen ingress depending on the added enzymes activity.
