Description

Albumin is the most abundant protein present in plasma, so much so that alone it accounts for about two-thirds of the total protein content. This protein is synthesized by the liver and its main functions are: transporting metabolites (such as bilirubin, free fatty acids, thyroid hormones), maintaining oncotic pressure (essential for the distribution of fluids in the capillaries and tissues) and being used as a reserve of amino acids. WHO IS THIS TEST FOR? KIDNEYS ALBUMIN TEST is aimed at anyone who wants to verify the presence of albumin in the urine outside the norm. TECH SPECS KIDNEYS ALBUMIN TEST is a rapid immunochromatographic device capable of detecting the presence of albumin in urine equal to or greater than the cut-off of 10 μg/mL. CONTENT 1 test cassette 1 pipette for urine sampling instructions for use USE PROCEDURE Open the foil bag, take out only the test cassette and throw away the desiccant bag; Collect the urine sample in a clean, dry and residue-free container (not supplied with the kit); Press the bulb of the pipette and immerse the tip of the pipette in the collected sample, then release the bulb; RESULTS INTERPRETATION Negative: urine albumin levels are normal or in any case below the cut-off value of 10 μg/mL. Positive: the levels of albumin in the urine are above normal and it is therefore recommended to consult a doctor.
