Clinical Significance:assists in identifying bacterial/viral infections;auxiliary assessment of the course of infectious disease;guidance on the rational use of antibiotics
Performance Parameter:Sample:serum/plasma/whole blood
Linear range:SAA:5-150 mg/L
CRP:0.5-200 mg/L
LOD:CRP:<10.00 mg/L
hs-CRP:<3.00 mg/L
SAA:<10.00 mg/L
Applicable Department:ICU, transplant surgery, neonatology, pediatrics, surgery, internal medicine, etc
Intended Use
SAA increases rapidly in both bacterial and viral infections, and CRP only rises when bacterial infection occurs, and the combined detection of SAA and CRP is more unique than CRP alone. If CRP is normal in both cases of fever due to physical factors and viral infection, the increase in SAA can indicate an increase in the tendency of viral infection.
