Promedon's Unitape System allows a minimally invasive approach to be taken in treating cases of urethral hypermobility, a leading cause of urinary incontinence in women. This versatile system, available in three versions, the Unitape VS, the Unitape T, and the Unitape T Plus, give the surgeon a choice as to what the most appropriate surgical approach will be for the patient. All three easy to use versions come in kit form and have been designed to ensure the chosen procedure can be performed in a safe, reproducible, and minimally invasive manner, whether a vaginal, suprapubic, or transobturator approach is taken. The Type 1 polypropylene mesh offers the best conditions for tissue growth, while at the same time minimizing the chances of infection. The low elasticity characteristics of the Unitape sling's mesh aid in precise placement.
