The QuickVue TLI Campylobacter Test is a rapid membrane enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the qualitative detection of a Campylobacter-specific antigen in human fecal specimens. The QuickVue TLI Campylobacter Test is designed to detect C. jejuni and C. coli in less than 30 minutes from patients with signs and symptoms of gastroenteritis. Furthermore, the QuickVue TLI Campylobacter Test does not rely on bacterial viability, and can be performed on the bench-top with samples that have been exposed to air. The test is intended for use with preserved fecal specimens in transport media and unpreserved fecal specimens.
Features & Benefits
Quick turnaround time, especially when compared to culture, which requires 72 hours.
Can be performed with fresh, frozen, Cary Blair or C&S samples or specimens.
Flexible sample options allow for easy handling, leading to more accurate results. Culture is prone to false negative results due to stringent sample requirements, specimen transport, or growth requirements.
Detects C. jejuni, C. coli, C. upsaliensis, and C. lari. Has been shown to cross react with other clinically relevant pathogenic species including C. helveticus in clinical and analytical studies.
Allows for thorough diagnosis of patient condition.
