The stainless steel external elbow joint range are sold as individual joints and include four different styles. Automatic joints can be used with a shoulder shrug cable system. The automatic locks can be inverted for use as manual locking joints. Manual locking joints have pre-drilled and tapped holes along the forearm to secure, with a manual release mechanism mounted on the forearm.
Free swing joints are slim, therefore are suitable for long transhumeral, elbow disarticulation, and short transradial applications. The free swinging joints incorporate an 8° extension stop and are supplied disassembled for set up.
Friction joints lend themselves to paediatric applications and are used to passively position the forearm, but do not lock in place. Friction joints are intended to be used on the medial aspect and free swing joints on the lateral. See catalogue pages for further details.
