Glass & Quartz Microfiber Filters combine fast flow rates with high load capacity and retention of very fine particles. As depth filters, they retain particles on the surface of the filter and trap them in their structure as well.
Glass microfiber filters with binders are recommended for monitoring air and gas or as a prefilter. Binder-free glass microfiber filters have been manufactured for analytical and gravimetric analyses and prefiltration. Quartz microfiber filters are especially suited for emission monitoring at highest temperatures and wherever filters of the highest purity are needed.
Features of Sartorius Glass & Quartz Microfiber Filters:
Made for tough filtration situations with 100% borosilicate glass or quartz crystalline construction
Excellent direct or prefilters for extreme filtering workflows
Available in multiple grades and diameters, spanning nearly all filtering equipment needs
Glass Microfiber Filters (w/ binder) are mostly used either for monitoring air and gas or as a prefilter. They are manufactured with synthetic binding agents to ensure the filter has defined strength.
Mechanical and chemical stability
Temperature resistant up to 180°C
Hydrophilic or hydrophobic (depending on binding agent)
Binder-free Glass Microfiber Filters
Binder-free Glass Microfiber Filters are recommended for analytical and gravimetric analyses and as prefilters. They combine fast flow rates with high load capacity and retention of very fine particles.
Manufactured from 100 % borosilicate glass
Biologically inert, resistant to most chemicals
Withstands temperatures up to 500°C (grade 550-HA up to 550°C).
