OPTI-WAX Tissue Processor is a automatic linear tissue processor with 12 tanks, which allows to process 150 tissue cassettes in each cycle. Basket is moved through an electro-mechanical arm controlled by a microprocessor from/to different reagent/paraffin tanks. Thanks to its movement across tanks, the instrument offers a bigger homogeneity of consumption and smaller dispersion of reagents and paraffin than traditional processors with single chamber. Moreover the trouble of cleaning reagents management is eliminated. OPTI-WAX supplied with 12 reagent tanks equipped with covers (9 reagent tanks and 3 heated ones for paraffin with adjustable temperature). - n. 9 reagent tanks; - n. 3 paraffin tanks; - n. 1 basket of 150 tissue cassettes OPTI-WAX is managed through software. Thanks to user-friendly touch screen panel and LCD display, it is possible to program up to 20 different processing programs. In each program, it is possible to set different immersion and agitation times of basket in each tank. To get out of the problem of contamination among different reagents and paraffin, the instrument keeps, during the passage from a tank to another, basket in a high position for a preset dripping time. Each program can be set for rapid processing of small samples or, in alternative, on delay modality for night routines or during week-ends. Programming through touch screen panel is intuitive and it allows setting, step by step, all parameters of each passage of processing protocol in an easy and clear way.
