The Leishmania ScreenVet Test Kit is designed to detect Leishmania antibodies in whole blood, serum or plasma. After being absorbed by the cellulose swab, the Leishmania antibodies move and bind to the Leishmania antigen orocolloid complex on the conjugated swab, forming an Ag-Ab complex. This complex then forms an Ag-Ab-Ag sandwich directly linked to the Leishmania antigen (Ag) on ​​the nitrocellulose membrane. The test results can form the Control and Test lines for which the principles of immunochromatography are employed.
