SCREENVET ROTAVIRUS AG
Animal’s Rotavirus Ag Test
REF: SCV-1675-10
The Rotavirus Antigen Rapid Cassette Test (Feces) is an immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of rotavirus in animal feces, to aid in the diagnosis of rotavirus infection. The Rotavirus Antigen Rapid Cassette Test (Feces) is a qualitative side-scrolling immunochromatographic test based on the sandwich format for the detection of rotavirus in animal stool samples. The test cassette has an analysis window. The analysis window is equipped with an area T (test) and an area C (control). In this test, the membrane is coated with anti-rotavirus antibody on the test line in the test area. During the test, the sample reacts with the particles coated with anti-rotavirus antibody. The compound then chromatographically migrates upwards on the membrane by capillary action, reacting with the anti-rotavirus antibody on the membrane and producing a colored line in the test area. The presence of this colored line in the test area indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. As a procedural control, a colored line will always appear in the control zone, indicating that a sufficient volume of sample has been used and that the membrane has soaked properly.
