SCREENVET HERPES AG
Feline Herpes Virus Ag Test
REF: SCV-1064-10
FHV Antigen Cassette Rapid Test Cassette (Ocular Secretion) is a lateral flow immunochromatographic test that uses the direct (or Sandwich) method for the qualitative detection of Feline Herpes virus antigen (FHV Ag) in the fluid of the feline conjunctiva (Secretion of Eyes). The FHV Antigen Cassette Rapid Test Cassette is a lateral flow immunochromatographic test based on the direct (or Sandwich) detection method. The cassette has a test window. The test window has a T zone (test) and a control zone C (control). When the sample is poured into the well (S) on the cassette, the liquid flows sideways on the surface of the test strip. If there is a sufficient amount of feline herpesvirus antigens in the sample taken, a visible T line will appear on the T (test) area. As a procedural control feature, a colored line will always appear in the control line region C, indicating that the correct volume of specimen has been added and that the test is valid. In this way, the test can accurately indicate the presence of the Herpes Feline virus antigen in the sample analyzed.
