The General Principle of Antibody Production
IgM appears firstly after the virus infection and IgG occurs a few days later. SARS-CoV-2 spécifie IgM antibody usually appears positive 3-5 days since infection. The titer of IgG in recovery phase is 4 times higher than that in acuter phase.
Testing IgM/lgG antibodies can auxiliary diagnose whether the patient has recently been infected with SARS-CoV-2 Virus.
