Description

The animal metabolism monitoring system can monitor food intake, drinking water, and activity in real time. It can also optionally monitor oxygen consumption, CO2 production, and respiratory metabolic rate. The system can realize the separation and collection of animal feces and urine. Optional function of the real-time feces and urine weight monitoring to analyze animal metabolism. The animal metabolism monitoring system comprises data acquisition and controller, metabolic cage, environmental chamber, computer, and software. Features (Animal Metabolism Monitoring System) Animal metabolic cages, faeces, and urine collection tubes are made of high-gloss PSU material, which can effectively avoid animal faeces and urine hanging on the wall and residue. Drinking water and troughs can be removed directly, and feed and water can be added without interrupting the experiment, avoiding disturbing the animals. The drinking water leakage recovery design will improve the accuracy of measuring drinking water volume and avoid impacting urine collection. Modular design allows functions to be flexibly added or subtracted according to needs. An independent controller allows the number of channels to be flexibly expanded. It has a refrigeration module for the faeces and urine collector, which can undergo cryopreservation.
