Product Description
The small animal forced running wheel system is used to study animal movement behaviour and sleep deprivation experiments. It is also widely used in the research of anti-fatigue drugs, muscle relaxation drugs, and nervous system drugs.
The running wheel is equipped with a precisely controlled motor for reliable and consistent speed, with a maximum speed adjustable up to 60rpm. Its speed and direction of rotation can be set. It can be conveniently connected to a computer via USB and used with the energy metabolism system.
During the experiment, the mouse is placed on the running wheel. The experimenter can set experimental parameters such as movement time, rest time, and rotation speed. Recording the mouse’s behaviour in the running wheel can yield experimental data. These data can be used to evaluate the effects of drugs, study the effects of drugs on mouse movement, and even provide references for the field of sports medicine.
Technical Parameters (Small Animal Forced Running Wheel System):
Number of channels: One channel
The autonomous running wheel can rotate forward and reverse
The animal activity cage is made of polycarbonate PC transparent material for easy observation
Side door opening to pick up and place animals
