The BACTRON600 system permits volume handling of anaerobic cultures with maximum operator comfort. With 16.0 cu.ft. of workspace and a 600 plate capacity incubator, it is the largest, most complete anaerobic environmental system available. It is designed for high volume, yet requires far less bench space than expected for its capacity and performance features.
BACTRON systems have an airtight construction of stainless steel and rigid acrylic glass for unobstructed vision and integrity. The cuffs form a comfortable seal around the operator’s arms permitting bare hand manipulation of plates and specimens inside the working chamber, making work more comfortable and efficient. In addition, all BACTRON chambers have our new ergonomic armport doors, which ensure user comfort and minimize shoulder fatigue.
When sitting undisturbed at a steady state, a BACTRON typically rests at lower than 4.7 parts per million oxygen in the workspace chamber.
Chamber atmosphere circulates through a condensate controller then through a catalyst, which removes any trace amounts of oxygen. High relative humidity is maintained while condensate moisture is removed without the unnecessary desiccants, which can dehydrate media and samples. Each unit contains an integral vacuum pump to provide rapid evacuation of air from the airlock module for replacement by an inert gas mixture.
