The Shimmer3 Consensys ECG Development Kit can be utilized to monitor 4 channels of ECG (Electrocardiogram), recording the pathway of electrical impulses through the heart muscle. The ECG Development Kit can also be utilized to monitor (non-invasive) surface EMG, providing a representation of the muscle activity at the measurement site. Combined with Shimmer’s integrated 9DoF inertial + altimeter sensor platform, greater context can be given to the wearer’s activity and condition in real-time. Note: ECG and EMG cannot be measured simultaneously from a single unit.
