SEEG is a pre-evaluation surgery for neurosurgery, commonly used to locate precise surgical targets for epilepsy treatment. The evaluation requires mass surgical tools, and the most significant tool is the cylindrical needle electrode for opening up the meninges so that the cannula can be placed and the electrode can be operated for navigation. There are only a few companies that manufacture this specific needle electrode. Therefore, we design and develop this product to fulfill the market needs.
We introduce our new needle electrode- Cylindrical needle electrode with only 0.8mm diameter at both ends.
Cylindrical needle electrode features lightweight, just like our other products, but cylindrical needle electrode is ultrafine (Ø0.8mm) with a long length (250mm) that is different from our other products. This electrode is designed to be rigid and not bendable. We realize the concern of neurosurgeons over a rigid electrode that won’t be able to react signal transmit from electrode to operator, causing difficulties in determining the accurate depth. Therefore, we made adjustments to the tip material and insulation material to be more user-friendly. This effort helps facilitate the navigation regarding determining the depth concerned in a surgical operation.
