Stand-alone or with additional dorsal fixation
Kyphotic plate design
The CONTACT® plate can be implanted minimally invasive, thoracoscopically or conventionally. A one-dimensional reduction of mostly kyphotic malpositions is carried out using a minimized spreader with variable approaches to the base and top plates or after fixation of one side of the plate in case of destroyed plate structure of the vertebral body. The angle variability of all bone screws of +/- 5° guarantees a secure anchorage even with existing dorsal instrumentation. Optional spreading screws provide sufficient hold with low bone density. Alignment and anchoring of the screws is carried out without prior assembly of a aiming device ("free-hand").
CONTACT® plates are available in straight (40-70 mm in 5 mm steps) or 10° kyphosis angle (70-120 mm in 5 mm steps). The solid or spreading screws for fixation of the plate in the bone are available in lengths of 25-40 mm.
Suitable for endoscopic implantation
No aiming device required ("free-hand")
Can be used as "Stand-alone” in selected indications
No tissue irritation
Consideration of the course of the spinal column
