Description

The JET-X External Fixator features a multiple pin clamp design for ease of applicationin open and closed fracture reduction, post-traumatic joint contracture that’s resultedin a reduced range of motion, correction of bone or soft tissue defects or to helpaddress infected fractures and non-unions. Radiolucent, lightweight carbon-fibre composite allows fracture/osteotomyvisualisation in X-rays Features snap-fit assembly and prevents passive release of the bar duringreduction A variety of clamps and bar lengths offer versatility in frame assembly, and pinoptions allow constructs to fit patient anatomy while providing frame stability Freedom of simple fracture reduction; freedom to respect tissue; freedom to helppatients return to a normal lifestyle. Product Features Stable fixation A tapered minor/constant major diameter provide radial compression during insertionto help prevent loosening with tapered half pins maximising contact at the boneto-pin interface. Multiplanar configuration Quick and Freedom clamps allow both uniplanar and multiplanar configurations, withpins in multiple planes offering more stability and respecting the soft tissue envelopein fixation Strength Compared to common clam shell designs, dislodging a bar or pin from a JET-X clamprequires significantly higher tensile forces. Biocompatibility and friction Pins are stainless steel for stiffness9 and feature a titanium nitride (TiN) coating forbiocompatibility.10 TiN-coated pins reduce friction, which may minimise heat duringinsertion.
