In toilets, bathrooms and showers the patient calling device is normally a Toilet Pull Cord with Reassurance and Reset. In such areas there is often also the requirement for an emergency staff-to-staff pull. Upon activation of the pull cord, the reassurance LED illuminâtes to reassure the patient and to assist staff in identifying the origin of the call. The call is reset at this point. Likewise, activation of the staff emergency pull also causes the reassurance to illuminate, although the emergency pull is reset by reinstating it to its original position. Raising either a patient or a staff call activâtes an audible tone on the nurse call system and orange over door lights illuminate to guide staff.
