For injecting or withdrawing precise fluid volumes
Stoelting’s Manual Microsyringe Pump is a convenient instrument when using visual feedback to determine the amount to be infused or withdrawn. It also provides an economical means for any application requiring injecting/withdrawing a calibrated volume under manual control.
The Microsyringe Pump has numerous applications:
ICSI microtitration
Chromatography
Microinjections
For example, for microinjection, precise placement in brain tissue is obtained by mounting glass pipettes on the electrode carrier of a stereotaxic instrument. The output is conducted from the syringe to the tissue through PE tubing.
The 51222 Modelcan be used for infusion or withdrawal with syringes 25 µl or larger. A special micrometer with a non-rotating barrel and a clamp binds the syringe plunger to the micrometer.
The 51218 Model has a rotating barrel micrometer that can only be used for infusion.
Delivers Precise Fluid Volumes
The Starrett® micrometer used is graduated in 0.010 mm increments. The syringe (included) is a Stoelting 51115S with standard male Luer connector, accurate to 0.01% of graduated volume.
Accommodates Most Syringes
Stoelting’s Microsyringe Pumps accommodate a range of syringes and microsyringes, such as those below, to enable a wide range of volumes to be delivered. For more information on our microsyringes go to: Stoelting Microsyringes, Hamilton Microsyringes or All Microsyringes.
