The Adson (Cone) Self Retaining Retractor offers a wide range of surgical applications. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to pull back the muscles of the back and expose the spine.
For this purpose, the instrument features 3 x 4 sharp or blunt prongs that curve outwards to ensure exceptional sightlines. In addition, the hinged shanks permit to perform multiple surgical approaches.
Moreover, the Adson (Cone) Self Retaining Retractor features a ratchet system to self-retain the jaws at specific widths. Also, the ring handles are ergonomically designed to minimize the risk of slippage and finger strain.
