Voliron® SARS-CoV-2 Variant Typology Multiplex RT-PCR Detection Kit, is a multiplex qPCR kit that provides the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 and its subtypes Delta: B.1.1.617, Omicron: B.1.1.529) in upper respiratory tract and bronchoalveolar lavage samples. Detection Target: The presence of SARS-CoV-2 is determined by the presence of the RdRp gene from the ROX channel. While the presence of the Delta variant is detected with the signal increase in the FAM channel, the Omicron target works as a drop-out assay and the presence of the said variant is mentioned in the absence of Cy5 signal. Compatible Device: Voliron® can be run on all RT-qPCR devices with FAM, ROX and Cy5 channels. It has been checked that it works smoothly with the Biorad CFX96, Roche LightCycler 480, Qiagen Rotor Gene, Applied Biosystem QuantStudio, Inovia Lab GenX-4, Heal Force x960, Unima 96 devices. Sensitivity: Voliron® SARS-CoV-2 Variant Typology RT-PCR kit is designed for high sensitivity. It can detect as low as 41 copies per mL. Specificity: The primer probe sets used in the Voliron® SARS-CoV-2 Variant Typology RT-PCR kit are specially designed for binding to wild type of SARS-CoV-2 virus, Delta and Omicron variants with 100% sensitivity. All variants are routinely tested in silico to ensure the effectiveness of the kits against SARS-CoV-2 variants emerging worldwide.
