With its open architecture, FALKO 3D seamlessly integrates with medical imaging technologies such as 3D scanners, Cone Beam CT, 2D/3D microscopes, optical impression systems, and implant navigation platforms. For example, when connected to a surgical navigation system, critical data—typically displayed on external monitors—are projected directly into the headset, keeping the surgeon’s focus entirely on the operative field.
Additionally, the dual-headset configuration revolutionizes teamwork in the operating room. While the lead surgeon performs the procedure, an assistant can maintain an ergonomic position while viewing the same high-definition 3D image of the surgical site. The assistant can also access a secondary video source, such as the OKKIO 3D camera, for a broader perspective of the procedure. This bidirectional visual integration enhances real-time collaboration, improving the efficiency of four-handed surgical techniques.
