Chloride Reagent is used for the quantitative determination of chloride in human serum.
Number of Tests:
480 tests
4 x 120 mL bottles
Testing Procedure:
Manual
Wavelength:
480 nm
Linearity:
70-140 mEq/L
Expected Values:
98-106 mEq/L
It is strongly suggested that each laboratory establish its own range of expected values.
Reagent Deterioration :
Do not use if the reagent is red-brown color and/or cloudy. The reagent should be a
clear, pale-yellow solution.
Limitations of procedure:
Bromide and Fluoride can cause falsely elevated chloride values.
Hydrochloric acid fumes may cause high results.
