Direct LDL Cholesterol is used for the direct quantitative determination of low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL‐C) in human serum or plasma on automated analyzer. For in vitro diagnostic use only.
Number of tests:
100 tests
Testing Procedure:
Manual
Wavelength:
700 nm and 600 nm
Expected Values:
<100 mg/dL optimal
100 – 129 mg/dL near optimal/above optimal
130 – 159 mg/dL borderline high risk
160 – 189 mg/dL high risk
≥ 190 mg/dL very high risk
Linearity:
Assay range: 5 – 500 mg/dL
Limitations of Procedure:
Anticoagulants containing citrate should not be used.
Hemoglobin at levels up to 400 mg/dL, Bilirubin at levels up to 20 mg/dL and
Triglycerides to 1500 mg/ dL were found to exhibit negligible interference (<5%) on this
method.
