Low Viscosity Bone Cement for Vertebroplasty & Kyphoplasty
OPACITY+® is a low viscosity, self-curing bone cement with a high content of radiopaque agent for an optimized and safe level of visualization during percutaneous vertebral bone augmentation procedures.
Its composition has been designed to get the most suitable handling properties for surgeon’s convenience.
ADVANTAGES
Low viscosity
Loaded with Hydroxyapatite (HA)
Easy & safe to inject
50% Radiopaque agent
INDICATIONS
The OPACITY+® is indicated for the fixation of pathological fractures of the vertebral body using vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedures. Painful vertebral compression fractures of the vertebral body may result from osteoporosis, benign lesions (hemangioma), or malignant lesions (metastatic cancers, myeloma).
PROPERTIES
PHYSICO-CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
PMMA bone cement made of polymer powder containing HA particles and liquid monomer.
BIOCOMPATIBLE
Compliant to ISO 10993-1.
EASY INJECTION
The initial low viscosity makes easier the mixing and filling of the injection system. Opacity+® is injectable through a small gauge needle.
VISCOSITY
Opacity+® has a low viscosity, providing more homogenous bone filling with minimizing leakage potential.
RADIO OPACITY
Opacity+® has a high level of radiopacity agents (50%) for maximum injection visibility and control. The enhanced contrast allows improved continuous real time view of the flow of cement, reducing risk of leakage.
