Description

VESALIUS QUANTUM VESALIUS Quantum is an electrosurgical device from the VESALIUS product line that finds its best use in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT). Thanks to the QMR Technology surgeons can perform both monopolar and bipolar surgical procedures at low temperatures as energy is directed on the molecular bonds. This surgical unit combines advanced QMR technology with a set of special dedicated accessories that make it versatile and unique. VESALIUS Quantum allows perfect cuts and precise and delicate coagulations. The device is simple to use as it is equipped with an intelligent system that notifies the surgeon of the occurred coagulation even without the visual feedback. CUT Thanks to the QMR Technology the cutting function is caused by a breakdown of molecular bonds at low temperature. Thereby the thermal damage is limited and allows the Surgeon to provide extremely delicate surgical procedures. COAG The bipolar coagulation of Vesalius generators is recognized for precision and effectiveness. Differently from the standard electrosurgical high frequency devices (which cause the vessels collapse and tissue necrosis), Vesalius deploys a peculiar waveform (slightly out of resonance) that increases the temperature up to 63-65°C. This triggers the denaturation processes of fibrinogen which turns into fibrin and coagulates the blood, without thermal damage of vessels. FEATURES No irrigation required Minimally invasive electrode Monopolar and bipolar outputs 6 different operating functions No necrotic tissue or thermal damage Decreased intra-operative blood loss FIELDS OF APPLICATION Tonsils removal Parotidectomy Adenoidectomy Tonsillectomy Middle Ear Microsurgery
