Non-absorbable suture thread TEVDEK®

Tevdek® Suture, with a heavy PTFE coating, exhibits easy handling, outstanding tensile strength, lubricity, and a reduced risk of wicking and tissue reactivity. Knots slide smoothly. Material: Polyester (PET) Construction: Braided (Note: size 8-0 suture is twisted.) Coating: The heavy PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coating helps reduce the “dead space” in the braid rendering the suture material virtually inert, and lowers the risk of wicking and tissue reactivity. Indications: Tevdek® Suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, orthopedic, and neurological procedures.
